Welcome to ACA. Adult Children of Alcoholics is an anonymous Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program of women and men who grew up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. We meet with each other in a mutually respectful, safe environment and acknowledge our common experiences. We discover how childhood affected us in the past and influences us in the present, (see The Laundry List, and The Problem). We take positive action. By practicing the Twelve Steps, focusing on The Solution, and accepting a loving Higher Power of our understanding, we find freedom from the past and a way to improve our lives today. ALL are welcome to attend! The only qualification for SLAA membership is a desire to stop living out a pattern of sex and love addiction. SLAA is supported entirely through the contributions of its membership, and is free to all who need it.
To counter the destructive consequences of sex and love addiction we draw on five major resources: 1.Sobriety 2.Sponsorship/Meetings 3.Steps 4.Service 5.Spirituality
We are united in a common focus: dealing with our addictive sexual and emotional behavior. We find a common denominator in our obsessive/compulsive patterns which transcends any personal differences of sexual orientation or gender identity. We protect with special care the anonymity of every SLAA member. For more Information: www.slaafws.org or

SOUTH BAY QUEER & ASIAN (SBQA) Every 2nd & 4th Tuesday, 7pm
Being gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual can be a challenging experience for many of us. It becomes even more complicated when you involve mom and dad, family and being Asian. Many questions arise. Who should I date? How do I play it safe when it comes to sex? Where have all the cowboys gone? How do I meet Mr./Ms. Right? How do I tell my family about me? Where do I meet men or women? So let's talk! At our rap sessions, we meet in a group to talk about various different topics. SBQA presents a variety of interesting topics, including "coming out," relationships, discrimination, and safe-sex. Members can also bring up personal issues to the group and receive feedback and advice. And we do it in a safe, relaxing, friendly environment. Everything is kept confidential, so don't worry!
Our rap sessions are open to all Asian and Pacific Islander gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual or questioning men and women. We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Billy DeFrank Center in San Jose, CA. Join us for dinner afterwards at a nearby restaurant.
